What STL files can I use?

You can use binary or ASCII STL files up to 25 MB. You do not need to know which type you have—the tool detects it automatically.

Will the repaired STL be ready to print?

Accepted Answer

Repair closes the model so a slicer can read it, but it cannot check every printing issue. Review wall thickness, supports, scale, and printer settings in your slicer before printing.

Will repairing change the size or shape of my model?

Accepted Answer

The tool keeps the overall size and shape whenever possible. Filling a hole or removing broken geometry can make small changes, so always check the preview.

Does PrintVerse upload my STL?

Accepted Answer

No. Your file is opened, repaired, previewed, and saved in your browser. We may record anonymous repair counts, but never your file name or model.

What are open edges and non-manifold edges?

An open edge is usually a gap. A non-manifold edge is where surfaces meet in a way a slicer cannot understand. The tool can join nearby points, remove duplicate or collapsed triangles, correct inside-out surfaces, fill clear holes, and merge overlapping closed parts.

Can every broken STL be repaired automatically?

No. It fixes common problems when the intended shape is clear. If the damage is ambiguous, it stops instead of guessing and removing details you may want.

My slicer still reports errors. What should I do?

Try your slicer’s repair option. If the model still will not slice, it may have thin walls, intersecting parts, or other issues that need fixing in the original design app.
